We are delighted to announce that from 23rd April Solor Care (Solor) has become part of specialist care provider Voyage Care (Voyage). The addition of our 92 services makes Voyage the UK’s clear market leader in supporting people with learning disabilities with 363 services offering 2,369 beds.
Voyage has been providing high quality care and support to people with learning disabilities, autism, brain injuries and other complex needs across England, Scotland and Wales for over 20 years. As well as increasing Voyage's capacity in residential and supported living services, their offering will be broadened by the addition of our children's services and higher acuity nursing settings.
The day to day lives of individuals supported by Solor will not be affected by the acquisition, as they will continue to receive the same high quality care and support from the staff team they know. Voyage's consistent focus is ensuring the individuals they support are at the centre of everything they do.
Commenting on the news, Voyage's chief executive Bruce McKendrick said: "Voyage's business growth and its reputation have been underpinned by an unwavering focus on our people and the quality of care we provide. This is wholly consistent with Solor's approach and is why we are so excited by this acquisition. It allows more people to benefit from the high quality care Voyage provides and broadens the career opportunities for our people."

As an introduction to Solor we thought we would ask some of the individuals we support to tell our shared story.
