Training & Career Development
Our training and development programme supports employees to gain greater knowledge and skills to ensure that they have the opportunity to develop in their careers with us.
Many of our Service Managers began their careers in Support Worker roles and have been promoted throughout the organisation because of their success in delivering excellent support for the people in our services.
Our Training and Development team supports all employees in their career development across a number of areas: NVQ Levels 2, 3 and 4, including the LMS Award. Statutory training through e-learning and classroom based training in subjects such as Health & Safety, basic food hygiene, positive behavioural support, planning, PROACT-SCIP.
Specialist training is offered in order for staff to really develop their skills and experiences when working with people who may be on the Autistic spectrum, have a mental health need, have different communication requirements and complex healthcare needs. Management development skills are also offered throughout the training programme that provide more advanced learning in specialist subjects, and more managerial-based training.
We believe that training and development is an essential part of your working life, giving career progression and greater work satisfaction.
